Dayton's Christmas Concert at St. Luke's!

I don't even know where to start with this one... we are so proud of Dayton! He started St. Luke's in September and he just loves it and loves his friends he's made there. They had a Christmas concert this past Friday and it was the first time we got to see Dayton on stage and singing for Christmas, it was absolutely awesome and we are so proud of him!

Here is our handsome guy all dressed up next to baby Jesus!

Here's the gang that came to see him!
Back row, left to right: Grandma, Grandpa Buddy (Jerome's parents), Julie,
and his teacher Ms Linda
Front row, left to right: Jerome, Amara, Buddy, Money (my parents), and Aunt Kim

Thank you all for coming to see Dayton!

I realize this picture's blurry, but I had to post it... If you can see Dayton was walking down the isle to the stage and he's walking down thumbs up... what a ham!

This is a little blurry too, but this is them on the risers getting ready to sing.

Here's Dayton signing... That's Katelyn next to him and his friend Brian behind him. (I just asked and it's Brianna that's also behind him).

Here they are signing...

Here's where they are singing away in a manger and the cows were lowing and the baby "awakes".

Here's Amara clapping and cheering on her big brother! (Buddy is holding her).

Dayton at St. Lukes

Both Dayton and Amara got to dress up for Halloween on Friday. Amara didn't go to school in her costume, we brought it and she wore it during the day, but I didn't get any pictures of that.
Aunt Katrina and the boys gave Dayton the COOLEST fireman's outfit this summer, complete with pants, coat and a hat!!! We decided to wear the coat and hat to St. Lukes on Friday with some great fireman galoshes that Grandma got him. I come from a line of fire fighters and my dad was a fire chief for many years, so it's really cool to see him wearing this outfit (thank you Katrina, Michael, Samuel and Micah for the outfit, it's awesome!!!)
They had a fun day of trick-or-treating and playing games, it was fun to hear all about it. :o)

Amara liked her costume, but I was told she wouldn't keep her hat on, she liked to carry it in her hand. I was thinking the same thing would happen on Halloween night, but it didn't, she did great at keeping her hat on!
:o)

Dayton at the Dentist

So, the same day we went to the pumpkin patch (see the next posting below), we went to the dentist. There's a story behind this dentist. This is the very same dentist office that I actually remember sitting on my dad's lap before I had to go in for cleanings. My dad would bring me in and sit me on his lap to get me used to the dentist. Well, I've been going to the very same dentist since. Now Dr. Sullivan has since retired about 4 years ago and Dr. Cooper took over his business. Dr. Cooper has 4 kids of his own and has done a great job in keeping the business the same atmosphere and all. I also love the staff that's been there for years. I love that if I don't respond to their post cards, they will call me and hunt me down for an appointment. I really love that. I forget to call way too often and them calling me has been wonderful.
Well, ever since Dayton was 6 months old, I've been bringing him to my appointments (Amara has gone to them too, this was the first one she missed), but I've been bringing Dayton and getting him ready for the dentist. He's gone 2 other times, but all I had was a cell phone picture that I never posted, so here's Dayton... his day at the dentist.

Here he is getting any tarter buildup scrapped off.

Brushing his teeth.

He's getting fluoride on his teeth here.
Dr. Cooper looking at his teeth.

A closer look.

Dayton all done giving the thumbs up sign!! :o)

Dayton's field trip to the pumpkin patch

Dayton had his first field trip with St. Lukes to the pumpkin patch. I had the very fortunate experience to go with them!! We had a beautiful day, no rain and it was a blast! Here are several pictures of the fun!

There are so many pictures that I can't post them all. The first one he was just jumping and splashing in the puddle, but paused enough to pose for this picture.
Here is the class talking to the tour guide and Dayton is up front and ready to answer one of his questions.

The tour guide taking the class around the farm. Wait until you see what they are looking at!

Here is a mama sheep with her 3 day old babies... how sweet!

They also took them around and showed them an old fashioned kitchen, here are the kids holding hands, isn't that just sweet!?!

And they are looking at something else here...

A very cute goat!!

And Dayton posing with the goat!!

Here is the class taking a picture in the pumpkin patch.

Dayton picked out his pumpkin!

Going through the corn maze!

He found the end of the maze!

Puyallup Fair!

So we were able to go to the Puyallup Fair on opening night and we had so much fun!! Our friends Carey, Jay & Brooke were able to come with us!

Here are pictures of the fun!

Baby bunnies!! Oh, they were so cute! I've never seen baby bunnies before!

Jerome loves the chickens and roosters... he loved the color on this one
(hope you can see the color).

I loved the funny hair on this one!! :oD

Dayton getting a train on his arm.

Brooke and Dayton showing off their paintings.
Brooke had a dolphin with sparkles on her cheek!

Brooke and Dayton at the petting farm.

Amara enjoying the day too!!!

Dayton and Brooke on a ride together!

Here they are getting ready for a roller coaster ride... looks like Dayton is jazzed!

Its so hard to take pictures when they are on rides, but I was able to get this one... Dayton has his arms up!! :o)
(sorry Brooke, I cut you off there)

Here's Dayton and Brooke on another roller coaster. Again, Brooke is hard to see because she's behind the boy in red... but do you see her arms are up in the air!!! :o)

Dayton was just tall enough to ride the big ferris wheel (he was actually about 1/2 an inch too short, but they let him ride. I got to ride with him!!! (Thank you Jerome for giving me that ride with Dayton). Anyway, Jerome asked Dayton to take a picture of what he saw up there and this was Dayton's picture. :o)

We had split up from Carey, Jay and Brooke and here's Dayton "milking" the cow!!! (it was a plastic cow, but there were utters that you could really milk although it was water that came out.
Oh Dayton had tons of fun!!!!

Here's a cool story here! We stopped by the dog area and here's Dayton petting a St. Bernard. Now here's the cool story... both Jerome and I had St. Bernard dogs growing up, weird huh!
Dayton really liked them.

This one really liked Amara too!!! Amara thought the St. Bernard was pretty interesting and didn't blink an eye when this one stole one of her fish crackers!! LOL! :o)

My favorite family picture right now!! We had this done on a fabric poster and I took a picture of it. We don't have many family pictures, so I just love it!!

Ah... the end of a long night... Amara sleeping on the way back to the car.
What a fun night!!!!

Family fun pics

Just the family hanging out one day.
