Clue Anyone?

As most of you know, I started a new job in August. I started working at Totem Ocean Trailer Express (TOTE) in the accounting department.
I miss my co-workers at Dynacraft, they are an amazing group of people and it is really like a family there and I miss them terribly, but TOTE is a wonderful company to work for as well. They have amazing benefits and it's great to be back in accounting! The group I work with is fun too! As you will see, we really got into Halloween in the Accounting department at TOTE. :o)
There are 7 of us and one person was off (her daughter was back in town from college so she took the day off)... so there were 6 of us there on the day before Halloween so we dressed up as a team. We all dressed up as the characters of the game CLUE!! it was fun! The accounting department was the BODDY Mansion and Eileen was Mr. Boddy (or in this case Mrs. Boddy).
My boss, Jeff was Colonel Mustard. We thought he should be the Colonel since he is our controller. He actually won the costume contest!
Nick was Prof. Plum (he graduated from the UW, we thought since UW's colors are purple and gold that it was fitting he was Prof. Plum).
Heather was Mr. Green (we had to have one gal be a Mr. but since her last name is Green, it was fitting that she be Mr. Green.
Dorothy has white hair, so it was cool that she was Mrs. White.
Aurora had a great red outfit, so she was Miss Scarlet.
And I got to be Mrs. Peacock.
We had all the weapons and the cubes were different rooms in the mansion and we actually played the game all day. We put 3 cards in an envelope a who, with what, and where. We passed out the rest of the cards and everyone at TOTE got to ask us a who, with what and where and if we had one or more of those, we would only show them 1 card. The person who was asking had 3 tries with each of us suspects and the winner got a 100 grand candy bar! Oh we had fun!
Here are some pics!

This doesn't need a caption.

The outline of Mr. Boddy (AKA Eileen)

The suspects: Miss Scarlet (AKA Aurora) Mrs. Green (AKA Heather) Prof. Plum (AKA Nick) Mrs. Peacock (AKA Shai) Col. Mustard (AKA Jeff) and in front Mrs. White (AKA Dorothy).

The weapons and the CLUE board with the box of guesses.

The opening of the envelope!!!

Looks like Miss Scarlet did it with the Lead Pipe in the Ballroom.

Which is actually funny, the body was taped right outside of the ballroom and the ballroom happened to be Miss Scarlet's cube (AKA Aurora).

Col. Mustard giving the reward to the winner Crocodile Dundee (AKA Ken)

The reward: 100 Grand! :-)

A fun time had by all.

RANDOM FUN FACT!! July 14th 1989...

July 14th 1989 was a big day for Jerome and I!
It was the day that Jerome took me in his really cool Camaro to...
Dairy Queen on Ambaum in Burien.
Yep... today, July 14th 2009, is our 20th anniversary of...
our first date!

So... Jerome took me to Dairy Queen and we had ice cream and then drove around, talked about family, our old homes and neighborhood, school, friends, we basically got to know each other...
WHO WOULD HAVE GUESSED...
20 YEARS LATER WITH 2 BEAUTIFUL BABIES & 12 YRS OF MARRIAGE
Here we stand.
Here's a picture of Jerome and I camping with his family over in Eastern Washington. It was the summer after his senior year in high school 2 years after we met. He had just spent 3 months in Australia visiting his Dad Jerome Sr., his Step-mom Mary, and his sister Savannah. If you notice... Jerome brought back matching Australia sweatshirts... Ahh... how cute!!
Since this was the time before digital camera's, I do not have any other pictures digitally when we first met. My Mom just scanned this one today for me (thank you Mom)!
WOW, can you believe it?!
I LOVE YOU JEROME!

Winter Fest

Every year Jerome's work puts on a holiday party in January. December is usually so busy for everyone, the company decided to start the tradition of holding a party in January.
This year's Winter-fest was held at a hotel in Sea-Tac. It was quite a bit of fun. There were many of Jerome's co-workers and I believe it was a fun night had by all!
Carrie had her camera and shared the photos with me, so the photo's are credited to Carrie Huss...
Thanks Carrie!!

This was actually the next day when I got the pictures. Col and Carrie got a room at the hotel and we met them for breakfast with the kids, Carrie took this of Dayton and Amara.

Shai's Gift

So with the snow Jerome has been driving me around. On our way home on my last day of work Jerome asked me if I had our mail key on me. I did so Jerome asked me to get the mail. In our mailbox I saw a red envelope addressed to me from Pasado's. If you don't know anything about Pasado's Safe Haven, let me fill you in. They are a a no-kill animal rescue and rehabilitation of dogs, cats, and farm animals. They are named after the donkey Pasado that was killed by three teenage boys in Bellevue back in 1992. The state did not have any laws for this, so the boys were fined $50. That's it for killing and torturing an animal. Pasado's Safe Haven lobbied for the passage of the Pasado Bill which made animal cruelty a felony in Washington State. We took a tour of Pasado's and absolutely fell in love with them. No animal lives in a cage or a kennel, they let their animals go indoors or outdoors as they choose. We really believe in what they are doing.
So... now, back to the picture above and the red envelope. The red envelope contained a card with "Pumpkin's" picture and story. I will tell you about Pumpkin's story in a minute, but this card represented a gift from Jerome. Jerome went online and picked out an animal to make a donation to in my name! This was the best gift ever!
Here is Pumpkin's story. Pumpkin is a cat that was found crawling in a gutter, extremely thin, filthy, dehydrated, missing an eye, and covered in fleas. His jaw had been broken and healed itself badly and it appeared that he had been shot with a pellet gun. Pasado's rushed him to the vet with the hopes that they could save him. Pasado's was able to save him and he now lives in the People Barn with the Pasado's staff and enjoys having his chin scratched and his ears kissed and loves eating the staff's lunches! Pumpkin is doing wonderful and is shown love and trust all because of Pasado's.
Thank you Jerome, I love this gift... Thank you!
I can't wait to meet Pumpkin!!
